Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 21.06.240

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.

The hearing and appeal procedures provided for in Alaska Stat. § 21.06.18021.06.230 do not apply to matters covered by Alaska Stat. Chapter 21.39 (Rates and Rating Organizations).
