  • Attorney-in-fact: A person who, acting as an agent, is given written authorization by another person to transact business for him (her) out of court.

An attorney-in-fact of a reciprocal insurer is subject to examination by order of the director under Alaska Stat. § 21.06.120 and 21.06.14021.06.160 for the purpose of determining compliance with this title relating to the operations of the reciprocal insurer or its attorney-in-fact that the director determines cannot be obtained by examination of the reciprocal insurer. The cost of the examination shall be paid by the attorney-in-fact.
