- state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
An individual who is enrolled for credit at a public high school in a course that combines academic instruction with work experience outside the school for a public or private nonprofit employer is an employee of the state for the purposes of this chapter while the individual is performing the work experience. Weekly compensation for disability or death under this section may not be less than the initial payment of compensation under Alaska Stat. § 23.30.175.
