Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 45.50.521

  • person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
(b) Subject to the provisions of Alaska Stat. § 45.50.501(a), the attorney general may not make public the name of a person alleged to have committed an act or practice declared unlawful in Alaska Stat. § 45.50.471 during an investigation conducted by the attorney general under Alaska Stat. § 45.50.47145.50.561, nor are the records of investigation or intelligence information of the attorney general obtained under Alaska Stat. § 45.50.47145.50.561 considered public records available for inspection by the general public. However, the attorney general is not prevented from issuing public statements describing or warning of a course of conduct or a conspiracy that constitutes or will constitute an unlawful act or practice, whether on a local, state, regional, or national basis.
