(a) The following persons are authorized to enforce the provisions of this chapter:

  • peace officer: means
    (A) an officer of the state troopers. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
(1) a state employee authorized by the commissioner; and
(2) a peace officer.
(b) The department shall prescribe a citation form, which shall be used by all peace officers and persons in the state who are authorized to enforce the provisions of this chapter. The citation form must meet the requirements of Alaska Stat. § 12.25.175 – 12.25.230.
