  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Department: means the department of health services. See Arizona Laws 36-271
  • Discovery: Lawyers' examination, before trial, of facts and documents in possession of the opponents to help the lawyers prepare for trial.
  • Disease: means a condition or disorder that causes the human body to deviate from its normal or healthy state and that has no known general cure or adequate medically accepted treatment. See Arizona Laws 36-271
  • including: means not limited to and is not a term of exclusion. See Arizona Laws 1-215
  • Medically accepted treatment: means a methodology or protocol recognized by the American medical association, the American college of surgeons or the national cancer institute or taught by an approved school of medicine as defined in section 32-1401 as a treatment that results in the restoration of the human body to a normal or healthy state.
