(a) The board shall establish criteria for the participation of pharmacists and intern pharmacists in the pharmacists recovery program.
(b) The board may deny a pharmacist or intern pharmacist who fails to meet the criteria for participation entry into the pharmacists recovery program.

- board: means any entity listed in Section 101, the entities referred to in Sections 1000 and 3600, the State Bar, the Department of Real Estate, and any other state agency that issues a license, certificate, or registration authorizing a person to engage in a business or profession. (c) The establishment of criteria for participation in the pharmacists recovery program shall not be subject to the requirements of Chapter 3.5 (commencing with Section 11340) of Part 1 of Division 3 of Title 2 of the Government Code.
