If any license issued under this chapter is lost or destroyed, or if any person desires a reissuance of his or her license, the board may reissue it, subject to Section 4403, upon application therefor, and the submission of satisfactory proof, if required by the board, that the license has been lost or destroyed, or if the license has not been lost or destroyed, upon the surrender of the old license.

  • board: means any entity listed in Section 101, the entities referred to in Sections 1000 and 3600, the State Bar, the Department of Real Estate, and any other state agency that issues a license, certificate, or registration authorizing a person to engage in a business or profession.   • license: means license, certificate, registration, or other means to engage in a business or profession regulated by this code or referred to in Section 1000 or 3600. See California Business and Professions Code 23.7
