(a) The board may appoint such committees, officers and employees as it deems necessary or proper, and fix and pay salaries and necessary expenses.

(b) The members of the executive committee of the board shall include at least one board member appointed by each of the following appointing authorities:

  • board: means any entity listed in Section 101, the entities referred to in Sections 1000 and 3600, the State Bar, the Department of Real Estate, and any other state agency that issues a license, certificate, or registration authorizing a person to engage in a business or profession. (1) The Supreme Court.

(2) The Governor.

(3) The Speaker of the Assembly.

(4) The Senate Committee on Rules.
