- Bonds: means bonds, notes, warrants, or other evidence of indebtedness payable, both principal and interest, from the proceeds of ad valorem taxes that may be levied without limitation as to rate or amount upon property subject to taxation by the legislative body. - County: includes city and county. See California Food and Agricultural Code 29
- Department: means the Department of Food and Agriculture. See California Food and Agricultural Code 32
- Legislative body: means the governing body of the issuer. See California Government Code 53507
- Spouse: includes "registered domestic partner" as required by §. See California Government Code 12.2
- Subdivision: means a subdivision of the section in which that term occurs unless some other section is expressly mentioned. See California Food and Agricultural Code 49
