Except where the procedure prescribed by Section 5362 is utilized, the elections official responsible for the conduct of a governing board member election shall cause formal notice of the election to be published pursuant to § 12112 of the Elections Code.

Terms Used In California Education Code 5363

  • formal notice: means the notice of election which is required to be published and posted in public places, and "card notice" means the notice of election which is required to be mailed to the registered voters of the area in which the election is to be held. See California Education Code 5360
