The department shall establish a procedure whereby a managerial employee may appeal his or her performance appraisal report to the appointing power. At a minimum, these procedures shall permit appeals on the basis that the performance appraisal report was used to abuse, harass, or discriminate against the employee.

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Appraisal: A determination of property value.
