The authority granted by this article may be exercised by a city over, along, or upon the water frontage or tidelands which it owns or which one claimed or possessed by any person.

Terms Used In California Government Code 39935
- City: includes "city and county" and "incorporated town" but does not include "unincorporated town" or "village. See California Government Code 20
- Person: includes any person, firm, association, organization, partnership, limited liability company, business trust, corporation, or company. See California Government Code 17
