Under the direction of the director, the Executive Officer of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communication shall initiate and execute campaigns related to the state‘s highest priority public awareness and community outreach efforts.

- Director: as used in this article means the Director of the Office of Planning and Research within the Governor's office. See California Government Code 65052.2
- Executive Officer: as used in this article means the individual who manages the Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications. See California Government Code 65052.2
- State: means the State of California, unless applied to the different parts of the United States. See California Government Code 18
