• Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
• District: as used in this chapter , means a district formed pursuant to this chapter or pursuant to any law which it supersedes. See California Public Resources Code 49100
