Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the State Department of Social Services and the State Department of Public Health shall notify the State Department of Developmental Services of any administrative action initiated against a licensee serving consumers with developmental disabilities. For the purposes of this section “administrative action” includes, but is not limited to, all of the following:

(a) The issuance of a citation requiring corrective action for a health and safety violation.

  • Department: means the State Department of Developmental Services. See California Welfare and Institutions Code 4639.80
  • Temporary restraining order: Prohibits a person from an action that is likely to cause irreparable harm. This differs from an injunction in that it may be granted immediately, without notice to the opposing party, and without a hearing. It is intended to last only until a hearing can be held.

(b) The temporary or other suspension or revocation of a license.

(c) The issuance of a temporary restraining order.

(d) The appointment of a temporary receiver pursuant to § 1327 of the Health and Safety Code.
