By September 1, 1986, the State Department of Developmental Services shall promulgate regulations which establish a process for service providers to appeal actions the department takes as a result of its auditing and monitoring activities. To the extent possible, this process shall include procedures contained in fiscal audit appeals regulations established pursuant to Section 4780.5.

Terms Used In California Welfare and Institutions Code 4648.2

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Department: means the State Department of Developmental Services. See California Welfare and Institutions Code 4639.80
