(a) For the school year commencing July 1, 2021, a local or regional board of education may offer the black and Latino studies course, approved pursuant to § 10-16tt, in grades nine to twelve, inclusive.
(b) For the school year commencing July 1, 2022, and each school year thereafter, a local or regional board of education shall offer the black and Latino studies course, approved pursuant to § 10-16tt, in grades nine to twelve, inclusive.
