The legislative body of any municipality in which a correctional facility is located that is under the supervision of the Commissioner of Correction and is owned or leased by the state may seek an amendment to any contract related to the correctional facility that is in effect between the municipality and a state agency. For the purposes of this section, “municipality” means a town, city or consolidated town and borough.
