The State Fire Prevention Commission shall be the authority having jurisdiction over the sale and use of portable oil-fueled heaters and only this chapter shall govern the sale and use of portable oil-fueled heaters in this State.
Terms Used In Delaware Code Title 16 Sec. 7310
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Oil: means any liquid fuel with a flash point of greater than 100 degrees Fahrenheit, including but not limited to kerosene. See Delaware Code Title 16 Sec. 3103
- State: means the State of Delaware; and when applied to different parts of the United States, it includes the District of Columbia and the several territories and possessions of the United States. See Delaware Code Title 6 Sec. 4307
