The Secretary of Labor may visit and inspect at any time any establishment in this State to ascertain whether any children are employed therein contrary to Chapter 5 of this title, and the Secretary shall make complaint against and shall prosecute any person violating such chapter.

Terms Used In Delaware Code Title 19 Sec. 103

  • Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
  • Person: means an individual, partnership, association, corporation, statutory trust, business trust, legal representative or any organized group of persons. See Delaware Code Title 19 Sec. 101
  • Prosecute: To charge someone with a crime. A prosecutor tries a criminal case on behalf of the government.
  • Secretary of Labor: shall mean the Secretary of Labor or the Secretary's authorized designee, provided, that any such delegation of authority is consistent with Chapter 85 of Title 29. See Delaware Code Title 19 Sec. 101
  • State: means the State of Delaware; and when applied to different parts of the United States, it includes the District of Columbia and the several territories and possessions of the United States. See Delaware Code Title 1 Sec. 302
