(1) At any time after submitting the CE Form 1 – Statement of Financial Interests, a person may amend his or her original disclosure filing to add to or modify the information originally reported. Filers shall complete an amended filing through the electronic filing system created and maintained by the Commission as provided in s. 112.31446, Florida Statutes, which will allow them to access and complete the disclosure filing identified in the system as the CE Form 1X – Amendment to Statement of Financial Interests.   • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
  • Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
    (2) Amendments received before September 1 of the year in which disclosure is due shall be treated as the original filing. If an amendment is received after September 1 and the subject of a complaint filed against the reporting person, the Commission shall consider the timing of the amendment as a mitigating factor, as provided in Florida Statutes § 112.3145
