  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
  • Nolo contendere: No contest-has the same effect as a plea of guilty, as far as the criminal sentence is concerned, but may not be considered as an admission of guilt for any other purpose.
    (1) Conviction of or pleading nolo contendere to a felony involving moral turpitude; or
    (2) An established and repeated history of intentional non-compliance with applicable safety standards as set forth in Florida Statutes Chapter 527, or duly adopted rules and regulations of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
