§ 519. Hemp economic development. The commissioner shall consult and cooperate with the New York state urban development corporation, the New York state hemp workgroup created pursuant to § 108 of the cannabis law, and representatives of industries that currently use, or may potentially use, industrial hemp in their products, with respect to the funding and support of research, and product and business development and promotion, concerning hemp and businesses involved in growing, cultivating, and processing hemp for uses including, but not limited to food, fiber, packaging, cannabinoid content, and construction materials.
