§ 3807. Penalty for false reports and misapplication of public funds. Every person in the employ of the board of education of the city of New York, and every school officer and every officer or teacher of a school or society, who shall wilfully sign a false report to such board of education, shall for each offense forfeit the sum of twenty-five dollars; and every such person or officer who shall wilfully misapply any of the public funds committed to his care shall be deemed guilty of embezzlement.
