§ 327. Local health officer; nurses; appointment. Every health officer or other official exercising similar duties, by whatever official designation he may be known, with the approval and consent of the local board of health of his district, shall have power to employ such number of public health nurses, qualified as provided by the sanitary code, as in his judgment may be necessary within the limits of the appropriation made therefor by the municipality.
