- judicial office: includes the office of:(a) Justice of the Supreme Court. See Florida Statutes 105.011
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
(1) Each qualified elector of the territorial jurisdiction of a court shall be eligible to vote for a candidate for each judicial office of such court or, in the case of a justice or a judge seeking retention, for or against retention of such justice or judge.(2) The election of members of a school board shall be by vote of the qualified electors as prescribed in chapter 1001.
