  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
The Legislature finds and declares that the purpose of chapter 78-115, Laws of Florida, is, in part, to clarify the original meaning of the Health Facilities Authorities Law, and, therefore, all bonds heretofore issued and proceedings conducted pursuant thereto which would have been valid had the amendment to s. 154.245, as set forth in s. 2 of chapter 78-115, been in effect when said bonds were issued or proceedings were conducted are hereby declared valid.
