  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • political subdivision: include counties, cities, towns, villages, special tax school districts, special road and bridge districts, bridge districts, and all other districts in this state. See Florida Statutes 1.01
Express authority and power is hereby given and granted any county, municipality, drainage district, road and bridge district, school district or any other political subdivision, board, authority, corporation or individual in or of the state to make and enter into with the authority, contracts, leases, conveyances or other agreements within the provisions and purposes of this part. The authority is hereby expressly authorized to make and enter into contracts, leases, conveyances and other agreements with any political subdivision, agency or instrumentality of the state and any and all federal agencies, corporations and individuals for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this part.
