- Department: means the Department of Health. See Florida Statutes 395.002
- hospital: includes a medical office building located on the same premises as a hospital facility, provided the land on which the medical office building is constructed is zoned for use as a hospital; provided the premises were zoned for hospital purposes on January 1, 1992. See Florida Statutes 395.002
A hospital that provides birthing services shall incorporate information on safe sleep practices and the possible causes of Sudden Unexpected Infant Death into the hospital’s postpartum instruction on the care of newborns and provide to each parent the informational pamphlet on infant and childhood eye and vision disorders created by the department pursuant to s. 383.14(3)(i).
