Any trees, timber, logs, poles or piling which remain for a period of more than 30 days upon the right of way of any state highway or upon real property adjacent thereto which is owned by the state, by and through its Department of Transportation, shall be conclusively presumed abandoned, and title thereto shall vest in the state, by and through its Department of Transportation, and the department is hereby authorized to remove, destroy, sell or otherwise dispose of the same.
