Terms Used In 12 Guam Code Ann. § 3107

  • Advice and consent: Under the Constitution, presidential nominations for executive and judicial posts take effect only when confirmed by the Senate, and international treaties become effective only when the Senate approves them by a two-thirds vote.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
bject to the advice and consent of the Legislature, the Governor of Guam, upon the recommendation of the Board, shall appoint a Station Manager of the facility who shall be responsible to the Board for the day-to-day operation of the Corporation and shall administer its programs, policies and the facility used for and in the production and transmission of the Corporation’s programs. The Station Manager shall serve a fixed term as specified by the Board, or until his successor has been appointed and qualified. The Board shall fix policy and procedure applicable if the Station Manager is unable, for any reason, to complete his term. The Station Manager shall not participate in any decision of the Board relative to the fixing of

his term, his salary nor on any matter affecting his tenure in office, nor shall he vote thereon.
