17 Guam Code Ann. § 15205
(1) Courses required for the academic portion of U.S. Department Of Labor approved apprenticeship programs.
(2) Courses required for the passage of exams and attainment of the Microsoft Certified Software Engineer (MCSE) designation.
(3) Courses required for the passage of exams and attainment of the Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA) designation.
(4) Any other training program leading to the passage of external or industry certification in computer, networking or telecommunications that are determined to be priority career needs on Guam by the Guam Community College Board of Trustees.
(b) The maximum loan amount shall be the lower of
(1) the actual cost of tuition, fees, books and other course related items or
(2) the limits set forth in § 15202 of this Article subject to a two (2) year maximum completion time.
(c) Repayment terms shall be consistent with the terms of § 15203 of this Article and shall begin upon completion of the apprenticeship program or passage of certification exams
whichever applies, however, in the event a loan recipient fails to
pass all certification exams within one (1) year following the completion of training, the amount of the loan shall be repaid in
cash plus interest at the rate determined by § 15203(a) of this
Article.

MERIT AWARDS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF GUAM
2019 NOTE: Pursuant to P.L. 31-237:3 (Dec. 6, 2012), starting with Award Year 2013-2014, financial assistance awards would be granted only as provided by Chapter 28 of Title 17, Guam Code Ann., which provides that Merit Awards to the University of Guam are granted pursuant to Article 2.
