- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
the case of an appeal from any proceeding under this Law, or from any judgment, order or decree affecting registered lands, the clerk of the court in which the notice of appeal is filed shall forthwith notify the registrar thereof, and thereupon the registrar shall enter upon the register a memorial of such appeal.
