(a) Each member of a board shall be selected and shall serve under the provisions of § 26-34, and before beginning a term of office, shall take an oath of office before a notary public, or other officer empowered to administer oaths.

  • Board: means any board or commission which is created and authorized by statute to issue a professional or vocational license, and is established within or transferred to the department for administrative purposes or subject to the administrative control or supervision of the director. (b) Each member of a board shall serve without pay. However, the actual and necessary traveling expenses incurred in connection with the performance of the member’s official duties shall be paid by the department, upon the presentation of vouchers approved by the department.
