(a) Immediately upon the qualification and appointment of the original members, and annually thereafter, the board shall elect one member as chair and one member as vice-chair. In the absence of both the chair and the vice-chair to preside at a meeting, the members present shall select a chair pro tem.

  • Board: means any board or commission which is created and authorized by statute to issue a professional or vocational license, and is established within or transferred to the department for administrative purposes or subject to the administrative control or supervision of the director.   • Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
(b) Each board shall meet not less than twice a year at a time and place determined by the board.
(c) The majority of the members to which the board is entitled shall constitute a quorum. The concurrence of a majority of the members to which the board is entitled shall be necessary to make any action taken by the board valid. Each board shall conduct its meetings in accordance with chapters 91 and 92.
