(a) The commissioner may adopt rules under chapter 91 as necessary to implement this chapter.

  • Warrantor: means a person named under the terms of a vehicle protection product warranty as the contractual obligor to the consumer. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 481R-1
(b) The commissioner may conduct investigations of warrantors or other persons as reasonably necessary to enforce this chapter and to protect consumers in this State. On request of the commissioner, a warrantor shall make the warrantor’s records maintained under § 481R-8 regarding vehicle protection products sold by the warrantor available to the department as necessary to enable the department to reasonably determine compliance with this chapter.
