Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 110 ILCS 921/5

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
  • Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
     Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no governmental agency or board established under a statute of this State may impose or refer a matter to any other governmental agency to impose a denial, refusal to renew, suspension, revocation, or other disciplinary action upon a professional or occupational license issued under the laws of this State for a person’s delinquency, default, or other failure to perform on an educational loan or scholarship provided by or guaranteed by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission or any governmental agency of this State.
