Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 20 ILCS 605/605-30

  • Special districts: has the meaning ascribed to that term in Article VII of the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.29
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     The Department shall use the State and federal programs, grants, and subsidies that are available to assist in the discharge of the provisions of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. The Department shall evaluate the eligibility of special districts for State and federal programs, grants, and subsidies based on eligibility requirements set forth in their statutory charters.
