     To accept and use planning grants or other financial assistance from the federal government and from other sources set forth in Section 605-40 for support of planning studies and activities, performance of administrative functions, and technical services carried out under the State Technical Services Act of 1965, Public Law 89-182, and any subsequent legislation whose purpose is to achieve a wider diffusion and more effective application of science and technology in business, commerce, and industry.
