- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
Other acts to foster and promote industrial development and economic welfare. To do other acts that, in the judgment of the Department, are necessary and proper in fostering and promoting the industrial development and economic welfare of the State. The Department, however, shall have no power to require reports from or to regulate any business.
