  • Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     Notwithstanding the existence or pursuit of any other remedy, the Director may, in the manner provided by law, upon the advice of the Attorney General who shall represent the Director in the proceedings, maintain an action in the name of the State for injunction or other process against any person or governmental unit to restrain or prevent the establishment of a hospital without a permit issued pursuant to this Act, or to restrain or prevent the opening, conducting, operating, or maintaining of a hospital without a license issued pursuant to this Act.
