Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 310 ILCS 5/13

  • Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     No housing corporation shall proceed to dissolution except upon the approval of the Illinois Housing Development Authority, and the distribution of assets in dissolution shall be subject to the control and supervision of the Illinois Housing Development Authority. No articles of dissolution shall be filed by the Secretary of State unless it shall have endorsed thereon or be accompanied by a certificate of the approval of the Illinois Housing Development Authority.
