Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 310 ILCS 5/39

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.
  • Transcript: A written, word-for-word record of what was said, either in a proceeding such as a trial or during some other conversation, as in a transcript of a hearing or oral deposition.
     The Illinois Housing Development Authority may charge and collect from a housing corporation reasonable fees in accordance with rates to be established by the rules of the Illinois Housing Development Authority for the examination of plans and specifications and the inspection of buildings during construction, an amount not to exceed one-half of one per cent of the cost of the project; for the holding of a public hearing upon application of a housing corporation, an amount sufficient to meet the reasonable costs of advertising the notice thereof and of the transcript of testimony taken thereat; for any other examination or investigation made upon application of a housing corporation, an amount reasonably calculated to meet the expenses of the Illinois Housing Development Authority incurred in connection therewith. The Illinois Housing Development Authority may authorize a housing corporation to include such fees as part of the cost of a project, or as part of the charges specified in Section 30 of this Act, pursuant to rules to be established by the Illinois Housing Development Authority.
