- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
When a decision is rendered against a claimant, the court may grant a new trial for any reason which, by the law applicable to civil actions between individuals, would furnish sufficient ground for granting a new trial. The court by rule may provide a procedure for review of a decision.
