  • Docket: A log containing brief entries of court proceedings.
  • Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
     Suits and proceedings instituted under the provisions of this act shall be placed upon a separate docket by themselves, and stand for trial upon the call of such docket at such times as the judge thereof may order.
