Terms Used In Indiana Code 11-12-9-1

  • community corrections program: means a community based program that provides preventive services, services to offenders, services to persons charged with a crime or an act of delinquency, services to persons diverted from the criminal or delinquency process, services to persons sentenced to imprisonment, or services to victims of crime or delinquency, and is operated under a community corrections plan of a county and funded at least in part by the state subsidy provided in IC 11-12-2.    Sec. 1. If supervision of a person placed in a community corrections program is being administered under IC 11-12-8, the appropriate judicial or administrative authorities in Indiana shall notify the compact administrator of the sending state if consideration should be given to retaking or reincarcerating the person because of a violation of a term of the person’s community corrections sentence.
