- Attorney: includes a counselor or other person authorized to appear and represent a party in an action or special proceeding. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
- Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
Sec. 5. The court may agree to provide the services and facilities of a program for individuals referred from another court, a probation department, the department of correction, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the division, the prosecuting attorney‘s office, or pretrial services.
