Sec. 1. (a) This chapter applies to a society, an association, or a corporation:
(A) for the improvement of agriculture; or
(1) organized:

- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Property: includes personal and real property. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
(B) to conduct fairs or agricultural exhibits; or
(2) owning or operating fairgrounds or other real estate for similar purposes.
(b) This chapter does not apply to:
(1) the state fair commission; or
(2) the property owned by the commission.
