Terms Used In Indiana Code 29-1-21-7

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • Testator: A male person who leaves a will at death.
(2) the jurisdiction that the testator is actually present in at the time of execution; or

(3) the domicile of the testator at the time of execution or at the time of the testator’s death.
